Hayle Pioneerium Project – The venue

Great name – but what exactly is the Pioneerium?

Hayle Pioneerium will be an exciting new venue for the area. Aimed at both residents and visitors, it comprises a state-of-the-art 3D cinema alongside a lively and contemporary heritage centre and cafe.  Exciting exhibits from the National Railway Museum will provide a dramatic backdrop to the centre, along with exhibitions about Hayle’s fascinating heritage.

There will be facilities which can be adapted for corporate entertaining, conferencing and private parties, as well as providing an excellent resource for local schools and colleges.

That’s a brief description of what the Pioneerium will hold.  But it’s much, much more than that.  It’s a social hub for the town – somewhere for people to meet and chat and play.  It’s a centre for the local parents to take their kids to on a rainy day, or for old friends to meet for lunch.  It’s a place that keeps visitors in Hayle – and they’ll then spill out into the town, to patronise other local businesses.  It’s the place that local businesses call first when they want to hold a conference.  It’s where Hayle schoolchildren will learn about their town’s amazing industrial heritage – and maybe grow up to work in.
It’s going to take time and a lot of hard work – but there are a lot of determined people in Hayle.  If we can’t find a way, we’ll make one!

Something so new, so unique, so pioneering, requires its own word – welcome to Hayle Pioneerium!
